Sardar Soran Singh KPK Minority Minster Shot Dead

On Friday, a legislator of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) KPK Minority Minster shot dead in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. As per police, official was shot dead by unidentified aggressors in Buner.

Sardar Soran Singh KPK Minority Minster Shot Dead

Sardar Soran Singh was a special assistant to KPK chief minister on minority affairs. He became the fourth PTI lawmaker to be killed since the 2013 elections. District Police Officer Khalid Hamdani said that Singh was killed right next to his house in the Pir Baba area at 7:20pm. “It is premature to say it was a militant attack”. Police said..

“Gunmen riding on two motorbikes came in front of the car and started indiscriminate firing which killed the minister on the spot” syed Khalid Hamdani. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the killing of Singh. Spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, said, “These activities will continue until implementation of Islamic system in Pakistan”.

Hamdani said that the government had deputed three police guards for his protection and a search operation had been launched in the area. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that he was at a loss for words to condemn the attack.

Singh started his career in politics in 2002 and joined Jamaat-e-Islami. After nine years, he joined PTI in 2011. He was appointed as special assistant on minority affairs on September 3, 2013.
